Kathleen & Mike – February 4 2012
We were supposed to have snow. I mean, it’s a winter wedding, right? Shooting at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Georgetown, we had greener grass than most other times of the year. Well, at least it was cold! Thankfully, the sun broke through the clouds during our post-ceremony portraits. That’s when I captured this (and I despise using an over-used term) truly epic couple portrait. The day was just wonderful, even with the lack of snow. Kathleen’s dress was dazzling, and she was gorgeous. I enjoy capturing elegant images that candidly hi-lite the details of...

My name is Dan Hauser. I’m a multi-media artist from Guelph, Ontario. HauserWorks is the company I’ve been operating since 2006. I earned a Fine Arts Degree from Fanshawe College in 1996. Last night I had the pleasure of teaching a creative photo session with a group of Guelph Girl Guides! I was asked to speak about my involvement with photography. For this i put together a presentation on the history of cameras, and my Fine Art schooling. I taught the girls about two of my favorite aspects of photography, macro and ‘painting with light’. The girls (and I) had a fantastic time, it was very impressive to see how fast they picked up the concept and experimented with the light. One of my first ever ‘painting with light’ experiments was the basis for much...

Unique weddings are inspiring and this chilly fall afternoon was just that… From Brigitte’s stylish dress and cozy shawl, to the grandeur of the Church of Our Lady and on to the elegantly designed Cambridge Mill – there were ample opportunities to capture gorgeous photos. My favourite detail was a framed business card from their first encounter. The couple tore it in half and wrote their numbers on each side for the other. Brigitte also took great care in designing custom wine tags for her guests, a charming personal touch. This was my first time shooting at Church of...

What can I say?
What can I say? I'm enamoured with autumn, growing pumpkins, hallowe'en. The wonderful fall colours have begun. My early start on the garden and pumpkin patch has paid off. I have a bunch of beauties! In this spirit I am offering a drop-by photo promotion. Following are some photos I've taken around the property, as well as the first Pumpkin Portrait starring my little buddy Esmee!
UPDATE:
I'll be adding examples of the promo to this gallery as I take them. Bring those smiles!

This was the most beautiful wedding I’ve taken part in. My apologies if that insults anyone The setting was the Riverstone Eco Retreat in Durham. The resort proved to be a quaint and lovely setting for this wonderful end of summer wedding. The gentlemen stayed in an old CN train car caboose. A river runs through the property, and the ceremony took place inside a unique stone labyrinth situated within a majestic forest. Every part about this day was gorgeous, including the newlyweds! Thanks Fran & Sean, we had a great time capturing your day. It was an honour. Enjoy...
